School of the Word
“It’s not what you learn, it’s what you become.” Keri Jones

The Class of 2010
At School of the Word you will learn, but more importantly you will become, more of who God intended you to be. The faculty are passionate men and women of God whose aim is to help raise up and encourage passionate and Spirit-filled leaders who are grounded in the Word.
School of the Word was founded in Cardiff, United Kingdom in 2002 and was based there for six years before moving to Manchester. 2009-2010 was the inaugural year for School of the Word Canada (SOTWC) and All Nations Church Ottawa is honoured to be hosting the school.
School of the Word is an eight month, Bible-based, fulltime course which offers a unique opportunity for those who desire to be trained and equipped in God’s word in order to be empowered and enabled servants of God. The Word of God is living and active; the course is therefore designed to train men and women to be effective for God in an ever-changing world. We do this by grounding students in the truth of the Scriptures, combined with very practical applications to what they learn. Our aim is to help all who attend to grow in love and knowledge of the Spirit and the Word of God.
Faculty and guest lecturers of School of the Word are actively involved in various spheres in the kingdom of God where they put their theology into practice, with a faith that works. School of the Word students also receive regular input from the Ephesians 4 gifts to the church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Together they are devoted to the training and equipping of SOTWC students in the purposes of God and they do so with vitality and commitment.

Testimonials
I have had an encounter with the living God and it has left me forever changed. It has transformed every aspect of my life. It has given me a vision and a purpose. It has given me hope and an expectation for greater things. It has shown me that the Christian life is not a set of rules but rather the exercise of a life of faith; a life that we are all capable of. It has shown me that there is no higher calling than to follow in the example of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

My choice to come to school of the Word Canada was the best decision that I have made in my life.
Chris Kennedy
I do not, for one second, regret the last-minute decision I made to attend School of the Word Canada for the 2009-2010 academic year. This eight month program has caused me to re-evaluate the way I think about myself, the way I live my life and the responsibility that we, as Christians, have to the world; it has challenged the way that I engage with God and read the Bible. The instruction is practical; the lessons are invaluable; the relationships are life-long; the environment is safe.
